Foundation Studies Teacher (Literacy and Numeracy)

Commencing 15th January 2019

Nungalinya College is looking for a full-time teacher to work in their Foundation Studies Course. This is basic literacy and numeracy course that also provides an introduction to study, and an overview of the Bible. Students study by mixed mode, meaning they come into the Darwin campus for a 4 week intensive and then work on their studies back in community throughout the year.

The College is looking for an active and enthusiastic Christian person with a passion to empower and encourage Indigenous people. A current Certificate IV TAE including units in LLN and Assessment is essential (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement). Qualifications in education or TESOL and experience working with Indigenous people would be highly desirable. However, the College will also provide cross-cultural training and opportunities for development in this area.

Indigenous people are encouraged to apply, but this is not a requirement for the position.

Provision of a house for rent may be possible subject to availability.
