CUA20215 Certificate II in Creative Industries
This course teaches students how to make short documentary films and is held in our Media Production Centre. At the same time as learning these skills, students will be encouraged in their discipleship. Older students are encouraged to bring younger students from their communities.
Students learn how to film and edit using both professional equipment and iPods. Students are issued with an iPod Touch, tripod and microphone so they can complete filming requirements back in community. The skills they learn can continue to be used after the course is finished. The cost of equipment is covered by the course fee of $500.
Students come to Nungalinya College for intensives for 5 weeks – 3 weeks in 1st Semester and 2 weeks in 2nd Semester which will include graduation and a film festival.
Each student produces a film of their own life and faith journey. Past student films are available on YouTube and being screened on ICTV.
