As part of the COVID Arts Project, some old silk-screens were unearthed at Nungalinya. These beautiful heritage designs were created as part of the Textile Arts program which ran at the college around 20 years ago.
In order to salvage these precious designs, new linocut blocks were hand-carved and hand-printed using dark blue ink onto quality, acid-free 300gsm A3 paper measuring 297 x 420mm.
There are two other prints in this 'Bush Tucker from the Water' series - the Sea Turtle and the Barramundi. All three of these animals are very important food sources for Indigenous people.
These prints can be easily framed in an A3 size frame with the print fitting into an A4 size mat opening. They look lovely displayed as a set. Only 50 prints will be printed in this special edition.
