Kriol remains the only Australian Aboriginal language with a complete translation of the Bible. Nungalinya College runs Certificate II in Indigenous Translating to equip Indigenous Christians to complete Bible translation work into their own languages. Students come to Darwin for four weeks of study three years in a row before graduating with Certificate II.

Students from one language/language group complete the course together. So far this certificate has been completed by a cohort from the Murrinpatha and Yolngu Matha languages, is ongoing for the Bininj Kunwok and Tiwi languages and will soon be started for the Anindilyakwa language.
