The mural is in juxtaposition with the Garden of Eden and reflection. A positioning of icons on the wall help to tell story and meaning associated with faith and culture in a visual format.

In the centre of the mural we see the icons of the Alpha and Omega, these signs overlap each other as a visual interpretation of the scripture where Jesus declares, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the almighty.” Revelation 1:8 I have painted flames around these icons as symbolic of Holy Spirit fire which is a representation also a of God’s presence.  There are also symbolic icons of people coming to God (U shaped images) in a stencil format together with an image of a young man walking toward God with his dilly bag, spear and thumb up indicative of having a beautiful experience with God. It also shows he was hunting looking for something and found God in the process, “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!  Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8 In the encounter God would say, “young people please come to me as I have a plan for you” according to Jeremiah 29: 11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Casting your eye toward the left of the mural the God encounter is represented by a burning bush with more stencilled icons representing people being drawn to faith in as in Romans 10:9,10.

As we step back from the mural we see images of eagles on the mural that are messages from God, this leads us to the big eagle with the message to our people to rise up as in Isaiah 60:1,2 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the Earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.”

I encourage you to keep reading this chapter as you reflect in the Garden of Eden.

At this stage it is good to sit on the benches and enjoy God’s creation that he shares with us and quietly reflect on Him through the scriptures. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the Earth.”

As we continue to reflect on God, bring your prayer needs to Him and continue to reflect. Sit still and wait upon the lord.

At this stage we can casually glance back at the mural and see two old Aboriginal men shaping their spears in the fire. They are preparing - they are the ancient sons of the flame - they are Acts 2. The coming of the Holy Spirit to minister to us as we are being prepared to be spearheads for His enabling in the use of our lives as we surrender to Him.

Be blessed as you look for the Lord. In the book of Jeremiah 29:12-14, the Lord says, “then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you, you will seek me and find me when you seek me with your heart, I will be found by you declares the lord…”

Be empowered for the mighty works he wants to do in your life.
