Common Name: White Bush Apple

Botanical Name: Syzygium eucalyptoides bleeseri

Larrakia Name: Mindimilma

Small size tree 5-10m, often found as a small clump with suckers. Pale bark, leathery round leaves. Flowers are cream to white with numerous stamens, 2-4cm across, in dense clusters. The fruit becomes ripe around the time of the first rains. It is white with smooth outer flesh that is sweet to eat, with a single large seed inside. 

Aboriginal Uses 

Fruit is sweet and juicy when ripe and is eaten raw. Flowers are good nectar for bees and both the flowers and fruit are very attractive to green ants.

This species is fire tolerant and will provide new shoots if the plant is burnt or damaged.
